Muddy Waters Muddy Waters, real name McKinley Morganfield, (born April 4, 1913, Issaquena County, Mississippi - April 30, 1983, Westmont, Illinois), American blues musician, widely considered the "father of Chicago blues".
Waters, which is supposed to form the basis of the blues music genre, Before World War II, the blues was the leading name of the genre. Bringing his interest in music to life by playing the harmonica, Waters was influenced by Willie Wilson in his 20s after meeting Eddie James, known as the "House of the Sons". At that time, he went on stage and played the guitar. He moved to Chicago in 1943. The artist, who went on a tour of England in 1958, was recognized and loved by a wide audience.
